ResSoc is Bristol’s home for ambitious students who want to go beyond the reading list and do research that matters.

• Hands-on learning – Workshops on research skills, writing, and postgrad applications that actually prepare you to do the work.

• Real-world challenges – Hackathons, mock journal submissions, and speaker events that connect research to urgent global issues.

• Major collaborations – We’re working with ChatAndBuild (AI innovation), EBSU Nigeria (development + health), and launching a flagship event on activism methodology this term.

• Student-led research – Our in-house research team is launching soon, giving members the chance to join structured, impactful projects from the ground up.
