ABOUT US

BUGC aims to help you become a glider pilot. We organise regular trips to Bristol and Gloucestershire Club (BGGC). Here you will undertake your trial and training flights, in 2-seat dual controlled gliders, under the supervision of BGA-qualified instructors.

Once you have achieved the solo standard in your training, you'll also gain access to fly our club-owned single-seat Grob glider.

REGULAR TRAINING

For new pilots who are willing to continue dedicating their time into the sport, up to solo, BGA Bronze, Silver endorsements, CAA SPL and beyond, please notify us after your Trial Lesson and we will arrange regular training. We usually organise training every weekend (subject to weather).

If you are already a glider pilot at another airfield / is a powered pilot who would like glider conversion, email us! We are always open to pilots to fly with us during the summer season. Our club is open for all existing experience levels and can provide training beyond Solo at Nympsfield.

A Trial Lesson gives you the chance to experience the sport with an instructor before deciding if you’d like to continue training.
