Description

Follow us on insta @centaursociety or Facebook (Centaur Society) to keep up to date!

Sports

Our sports teams are very relaxed and a good opportunity for a social as well as some exercise with less commitment required than normal university sports. We currently offer football, netball, hockey, rugby, volleyball, badminton, women’s football, and women’s rugby!

Entertainment

Our amazing team of ENTs organise our biggest social events of the year - Centaur Ball in February and Barn Dance in May!

Clinical Club

External speakers come on a Thursday to talk about a topic they are involved in, followed by a chance to ask questions. The talks are usually sponsored which often means free food!

Vet Panto

Vet Panto is annual Vet School event in which the centaur members let their dramatic side shine and put on a show for the rest of the vet school. It a great opportunity to meet other students in other years and have a break from studies.

Welfare

At the heart of Centaur is its commitment to provide help and support to our members. We have a team of welfare reps - who are available to talk if you feel worried about anything, academic or otherwise, that affects your wellbeing. Follow @centaurwelfare on insta to keep up to date about our Centaur well-being sessions.

EDI

Our EDI reps celebrate diversity and foster an inclusive environment by organising events like the Diwali and Lunar New Year celebrations!

LGBT+

Our LGBT+ reps will be organising socials such as Centaur Pride and providing support for our amazing LGBT+ veterinary student community. Follow @uobcentaurlgbt for all things LGBT+.
