Bristol SU recognises that the costs of participating in student groups can be prohibitively expensive for some students. The Activity Hardship Fund was created to support those students who wouldn't otherwise be able to participate in their chosen activity due to the cost.
University of Bristol First Aid Society ('BFAS') runs first aid awareness sessions where you can learn how to help yourself, others, and even save lives. For example: Bandaging wounds, treating intoxication and administering basic life support. You'll learn how to confidently help someone in need, so that you can play a vital role when you are needed most. Whether thats in your uni halls, back at home, at a sports game, or anywhere someone may be in need.
Our sessions are delivered by student training officers with real experience delivering first aid, in a relaxed environment that will make you want to get stuck in! We will also make sure you have lots of opportunities to practice your first aid skills with experienced first aiders, as well as first-timers. This should be the perfect complement to your growing understanding of first aid. Furthermore, we are working with St John Ambulance on finding volunteer and training opportunities for anyone interested.
So join us, if you care about helping others, combining both knowledge and practical skills, and being part of an inclusive, welcoming, passionate community.
