This year, we have exciting plans for photowalks around Bristol and beyond, fun competitions with great prizes, hands-on workshops, and plenty of socials! Members can also take on paid photography gigs for Bristol SU societies’ events.

New to darkroom?
We strongly recommend attending one of our Darkroom Workshops before purchasing this membership. If you already have previous darkroom experience and are confident using the equipment safely, you are welcome to purchase it directly.

Throughout the academic year, we organise a range of beginner-friendly workshops, photo walks, socials and creative projects. Our events are a great opportunity to learn new skills, meet fellow photographers and explore your creativity.

Camera Basics Workshop
Date & Time: 2, October 15:00-17:00
New to photography? Learn how to take control of your camera and start shooting with confidence.
We'll cover the Exposure Triangle, camera settings, focusing and composition, followed by hands-on practice. No previous experience is required, and you don't need to own a camera to attend.

Photo Editing Basics Workshop

Discover how to bring your photographs to life through editing!
Learn the fundamentals of photo editing, including exposure, contrast, white balance and colour correction, followed by practical editing exercises. Perfect for beginners who want to improve their photographs and develop their own editing style.

Film Photography Basics Workshop

Curious about film photography? Join us to explore the world of analogue photography, from film cameras and different film stocks to exposure, film loading and the developing process.
No previous film photography experience is required.

Join our regular photo walks, meet other photographers and explore Bristol together. We also organise socials, photography competitions, group critique sessions and creative projects throughout the academic year.
