We're a mixed gender club welcoming all abilities and experience levels. 
We compete in BUCS Baseball Western Division with 5+ fixtures a year, supplemented with a number of friendly matches against nearby universities.

We're grateful to have received support from the Alumni and Friends donors to help get our club up and runnning.

Our Alumni Grant Impact Report is available to read on the Bristol SU website. 

We generally hold 3 session per week (subject to weather):

• Monday Afternoons at Somerdale Pavillion, Keynsham (Dedicated Baseball Field)
• Wednesday afternoon on the downs (subject to coaching availability)
• Sunday mornings at Coombe Dingle sports complex

Development and Team Building

• At the beginning of the year we'll focus on the basics of fielding and batting, with an emphasis on technique.
• You will be taught the basic rules of the game via both classroom style sessions and learning on the field during training. 
• As the group's skills develop we'll explore a range of varied training drills and activities. 
• Our aim is for all members to be match-confident with a solid grip of how baseball works. 
• A baseball mitt is not required. If you enjoy the game and wish to purchase your own after getting familiar, talk to us and we'll be happy to guide you in the right direction.

There will be multiple opportunities for competition:

• As of 2026, we are in BUCS! There will be a number of games against other Universities in the South West through the year (potentially culminating in National Championships subject to good performance!)
• See BUCS Baseball Regulations for more information on match format and rules. 
• Friendly/practice games against other Universities.
• Scrimage games within the club.

We work closely with Bristol Baseball Club, a local community run club with multiple teams competing at different levels of competition within the British Baseball Federation.
If you enjoy the game and wish to potentially take it further, speak to us during the year about joining Bristol Baseball Club, and we'll be happy to point you in the right direction.
